Ward School Project Peace: Wells of Love and Hope
Sponsored by the Student Council of Ward Elementary School

Wells Project achievements:

• Our first functioning well w/pump is the sole water supply servicing the approx. 400 students, teachers and local villagers at the Utini Primary School in the Kibwezi region of Kenya, Africa.
• Our 2nd well is being built at our tree nursery, where we have supplied 400 Moringa trees to the Kenyan Youth group for care. The Kenyan Youth Group consists of 24 children, ages 4-14, who are taught to care for the Moringa trees until the trees are mature. As a reward for their excellent care, the students are rewarded with school supplies.
• Moringa is a highly nutritious plant whose leaves can raise the immunity in people with poor nutrition. The Moringa powder is being given as a food supplement to 40 People Living With HIV Aids (PLWHA) for the next year. There have already been some very promising results.

One hand dug well $4,000
One Moringa tree $20
Giving Hope to others…priceless
